Summer Camp: Knitting & Felting - July 21-24
This 4-day camp is perfect for children ages 6 to 12 who are interested in the crafts of knitting and felting—no prior experience needed! Each morning will focus on knitting, while afternoons will explore the creative possibilities of felting. Families are welcome to enroll in either the full day or a half-day option.
Through this camp, children will experience the joy of working with wool and the meditative practice of creating with their hands.
Knitting Focus:
Create their own knitting needles
Learn foundational techniques: casting on, the knit stitch, and binding off
Create a finished project they can be proud of
Learn to follow a simple pattern (advanced)
Felting Focus:
Discover the origins and properties of wool
Experiment with wet and dry felting techniques
Create unique felted fabrics and small treasures
Daily nature walks will connect students to their surroundings and spark creative ideas. Each child will need two snacks and lunch.
